The Ibrahim Governance Weekend, 2018
The Ibrahim Governance Weekend is the flagship event of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, held annually in a different countries. This three-day event brings together African political and business leaders, representatives from civil society, multilateral and regional institutions as well as Africa’s major international partners to debate issues of critical importance to Africa but focuses more on defining, assessing and enhancing governance and leadership in the continent.
From April 27-29, 2018, this year’s event took place in Rwanda at the Kigali Convention Centre and focused on public service in Africa and was also the time to welcome and celebrate the 2017 laureate H.E Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former president of Liberia. At the end of forum, there was a public concert that highlighted some of the best African artists performers, including, Sauti Sol and Peter from PSquare.
During the entire forum, Rwanda Events provided logistical support such as airport welcome, accommodation management, transport, registration and accreditation for all the delegates and participants. The overall event was successful and we are proud of our notable contribution towards this success.
